When we first started this lifestyle we had a plunger and a stove top espresso pot. The coffee was ok and if I am off teaching in remote schools the plunger and a can of ground coffee goes with me.

So here's the problem. If you are fussy about your coffee, and we are, coffee beans only keep so long. Then the beans have to be ground so we have to pack a grinder. And what happens if the local small shop only has the cheap stuff? Disaster!
So one wedding anniversary while visiting Canberra with the NSW family we bought ourselves a wonderful present of a coffee pod machine. Placed on a grip mat it travels in the corner of the kitchen and never moves. And best of all it runs on battery power via the inverter. Now we have great coffee in airtight pods and postal delivery of same to home, wherever that might be at the time
Life is good!
