Six months off grid living.

The baby grandson is six months old now.... Hard to believe that we have been here that long. We trekked down from Mataranka in Northern NT at the beginning of November 2015 to mind the farm when baby was born and to be here in the first few weeks.

The family kindly let us set up on the farm  and due to a health issue of K's we are still here instead of in Brisbane as originally planned. It has been wonderful to be able to be a part of the baby's life....a privilege we have not ever had with the other grandkids because of distance.

We have ventured sans-caravan off to Adelaide and Sydney and Newcastle at various times but in the main this last 6 months has been a real life test of our caravan set up for off grid living.

So I thought I  might spend the next few blogs reflecting on the whole off grid  experience. We are very practiced at the small space living aspect of permanent caravan living, but in the past half  of our year has been with connection to electricity and water. Off grid or free site living has been as we travel and for much shorter times on the farm.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our spot on the farm, and are grateful to the family for allowing us to set up here.

So I will set myself to thinking about it all and get back to you.

Cheers Sue

    1. I hope it will. I am writing now but have to travel into the local town to get good enough internet to post. Lots to reflect on.
